In Jeremiah 7:18 it says
The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger.
The queen of heaven is the title given to the Virgin Mary by the
Roman Catholic Church

If you notice on the bottom of the statue Mary is standing on the moon and the sun with of course standing on the snakes head. You can see this in other statues of her.
